The Let Me Do It team joined Mayor André Dickens in Atlanta to introduce the city's Inclusive Language Guide! Our founder, Angad Sahgal, spoke on the importance of making disabled entrepreneurs an integral part of the Atlanta's business community.
LetMeDoIt was founded by Angad Sahgal, an Atlanta-based entrepreneur, and his father Amit Sahgal. After seeing the need for accessible tools that people with disabilities could use to take ownership of their decisions through the Supported Decision Making System, they embarked on the journey of launching the first disability-focused decision making app.
Making decisions is critical to one's self worth. But persons with disabilities are often seen as "less than" and not allowed to exercise their own autonomy, have control over their lives, and interact with others directly in society.
Let Me Do It's mission is to change that by giving every person the tools they need to make their own decisions.
Let Me Do It believes that we all receive support in making decisions - whether we have a disability or not. We all receive support, guidance, and advice from those around us and we all have tools that help us take action based on those decisions. Our app is simply making that ecosystem and those tools more accessible and usable by persons with disabilities.
Angad's unwavering passion for supported decision making and empowering persons with disabilities to have their own voice has been the driving force behind the creation of Let Me Do It.
For him, entrepreneurship serves as a meaningful pathway to not only showcase his skills and vision but also to make a tangible difference in the lives of others.
